Invitation

Dear Colleagues,

We are very pleased to invite you to the 1st NCCN Asia Scientific Symposium, which will take place on March 29~30, 2008 in the wonderful city of Beijing.

The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), a not-for-profit alliance of 21 of the world's leading cancer centers, is dedicated to improving the quality and effectiveness of care provided to patients with cancer. As the arbiter of high-quality cancer care, NCCN promotes the importance of continuous quality improvement and recognizes the significance of creating clinical practice guidelines appropriate for use by patients, clinicians, and other health care decision-makers.

The NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in OncologyTM are the recognized standard for clinical policy in the oncology community. The Guidelines are updated at least annually in a consensus-driven process with explicit review of the evidence by multidisciplinary panels of expert physicians from NCCN Member Institutions. The NCCN Guidelines have become the most widely used in oncology practice. For the better promotion of NCCN Guidelines, NCCN launched the NCCN Annual Conference thirteen years ago. The conference program includes presentation of updates to the NCCN Guidelines, the latest information about new cancer therapies and quality initiatives in cancer care, and emerging issues in oncology business management.

The 1st NCCN Asia Scientific Symposium, will offer highlights of NCCN 13th Annual Conference and essential updates of 9 NCCN Guidelines. The distinguished NCCN faculty and Asian leaders in oncology will also discuss the hot topics in Asian oncology practice. Personal interaction with world renowned experts in oncology will guarantee a unique view on many sometimes controversial topics.

We believe this meeting will bring luxuriant educational resources to our Asian oncologists, and this meeting will also enhance the interaction between Asian oncologists and international authorities.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Beijing!
